My first lettering workshop was with Kit & Ace out in Oakville, where I first had to wrap my head around what I wanted to teach the guest students and how I was going to teach my process of lettering beyond paper. Since then I have taught with The Toronto Public Library and hosted private workshops too.
But before that I actually had 2 years of teaching experience as I worked in Hong Kong as an art teacher/facilitator working with kids from 2 years old to adults. Back then I was teaching and creating curriculums that had a broad range, from learning about textures with toddlers to still life drawing with teens. So you see, workshops solely focused on lettering only is a joy to me always as its undeniably my passion.
I believe that it is my calling to share my ideas and process about my lettering and my business through the channel of education/workshops because it has brought me so much happiness and good that I hope I can pass on to any individual that has an interest in lettering too. I cannot bear the possibility of lettering fading away and I vow to be a contributor to the next generation of lettering lovers.
That being said I have had a lifetime of lettering experience and SO many ideas of what I can teach and create, that it cannot be contained in ONE workshop alone. If you have ever met me in person, I think you would know that I can talk about the art of lettering for a LONG time. Anytime I host a lettering experience/workshop the golden rule for me will be did I share enough? Did I provide enough inspiration, ideas and skills of what you can do once you leave? I am driven to give you VALUE, as much of me that I can give in that 2-4 hours you are with me. From process, to tools, to how I run the company, no questions are off limits when you are with me and my goal is to share this amazing skill I am so grateful to have.
If you are considering taking one of my workshops in 2019 the schedule is up in my SHOP, please consider what it is you truly want to work on.
